Another Week Flies By...

And Miss Scarlett is 8 weeks old today! Some days I feel like I blink and I miss something, and other days I feel like I can't believe it has only been 8 weeks. I found this little list to keep track of things so we can look back and not forget and I figured this is the perfect place to keep it.

Age: 8 weeks

Weight: no idea - but guessing around 10+lbs

Size: I'm guessing about 23 inches

Eyes: still pretty dark blue

Sleeping: afraid to jinx it - but she has been sleeping a 7+hour stretch, eating around 4am and then sleeping another stretch until 7am. On Friday night she slept for 9.5 hours - straight. I was so proud of my girl! The absolute best part is when she wakes up - she looks around, catches eye contact with me or daddy and the smiles and coos start immediately! She is just so happy to see us, its adorable!

Eating: about 3-4oz every 2-3 hours, hungry girl!

Milestones: This week she really found her voice, and coos non stop at everyone and everything! She also started drooling a lot this week.

Favorite toys/activities: Bubbles the seahorse, and Abby Cadabby, I swear she is in LOVE with this doll! It must be the pink and purple pigtails, she loves vibrant colors. We also got her a new swing, the one we originally purchased was a starry nights theme, which we thought would be soothing and lull her to sleep, not so much. We traded up for the rainforest one, and she LOVES it! She watches the monkey and frog spin in the mobile and along with the swinging motion, sometimes it will put her to sleep for about 20 minutes, but mostly she just loves to see her rainforest friends.

Sounds/words: the cooing is non stop at this point!

This week Grandma and Grandpa D came to visit, which was so much fun! We did lots of fun things, like trips to Montana for Pinkberry, shopping on 3rd Street Promenade and a trip to the toy store in Brentwood where Grandpa and Grandma got lots of cool new stuff for Scarlett! It is so nice to have them visit, it always makes me so sad that they live to far away.
